A heatwave and no air conditioning wouldn’t stop a super hero, and in this week’s Recap segment, the art and the artist, must go on.

We catch up with East Oak Lane’s Jamar Nicholas to find out what his week has been like.

Nicholas is an award-winning Philadelphia-based artist and educator and a columnist for “DRAW! Magazine”, a how-to magazine for comics and animators. He hosts “Comic Book Diner”, a podcast about the comic book industry.  He illustrated Geoffrey Canada’s book “Fist Stick Knife Gun: A Personal History of Violence“.

He is currently completing his new graphic novel “Leon: Protector of the Playground”.
