Yoo-Hoo Mrs. Goldberg

Before there was Lucy, Oprah and Martha there was Molly Goldberg. The new documentary, “Yoo-Hoo Mrs. Goldberg” tells the story of Molly’s creator, Gertrude Berg. Berg was the head writer and star of the radio show “The Goldbergs,” which evolved into TV’s first character-driven domestic situation comedy. Our guests, director AVIVA KEMPNER, and Berg biographer, Mississippi State University communication professor PETE SMITH tell us how Berg breathed life into Molly Goldberg for twenty-five years.
