What happened in Iowa?

    Listen 00:51:31

Guests: Catherine Lucey, Josh Voorhees, Jesse Byrnes

The Iowa caucuses were last night, giving the nation our first glimpse of who might end up being a contender in the general election. Hillary Clinton eked out a victory, defeating Bernie Sanders by less than 1 percentage point.  And on the Republican side, Ted Cruz came out above Donald Trump, whom many thought would take the state. Today, we’ll discuss the results, what led up to the votes going the way that they did, and what are the implications for the remainder of the campaign. We’ll begin the show by speaking with CATHERINE LUCEY, who covers Iowa and politics for the Associated Press. Then, we’ll speak with JOSH VOORHEES, senior writer at Slate, and JESSE BYRNES who covers politics at The Hill.
