Impey believes innovations like moon elevators, solar sails and hibernation will allow us to venture out into the unknown. Impey, a Distinguished professor at the University of Arizona, believes the impulse to explore is fundamental to who we are and can be found deep in our genetic makeup. Impey comes in to talk to Marty about his new book, Beyond: Our Future in Space.
