Reentering society

Listen 00:48:44

Guests: Jondhi Harrell, Brandon T. Jones

President Obama has recently been taking steps in reforming criminal justice, including releasing some 6,000 prisoners and announcing “ban the box” legislation that will reduce some of the obstacles that ex-offenders face when applying for government jobs. Today we’ll talk to local ex-offenders and advocates about their stories and the needs of returning citizens. We’ll be joined by JONDHI HARRELL, an ex-offender and executive director of The Center For Returning Citizens, and by BRANDON T. JONES, ex-offender and founder of The New Generation Foundation which works with Philadelphia’s at-risk youth.
