Perspective on the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy

Listen

In an effort to provide thoughtful perspective on the tragic shootings that killed 20 children aged 6-7 and 6 educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, we’ll turn to three local professionals who study and work with children and young adults who are the victims of violence and trauma. Joining us in this hour of Radio Times are STEVEN BERKOWITZ, Director of the Penn Center for Youth and Family Trauma Response and Recovery, JOEL FEIN, an Attending Physician in the Emergency Department at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is the Director of the Philadelphia Collaborative Violence Prevention Center, and DOROTHY JOHNSON-SPEIGHT, founder of Mothers in Charge.
