    As incidents and protests across the country suggest, America can’t quite call itself a post-racial society just yet.  Still, if you look at voting patterns in recent elections, it’s hard not to see some progress.  New York University Historian Jonathan Zimmerman discusses the history of cross-racial voting with WHYY’s Chris Satullo.

    “The Lion King” remains one of the most popular shows on Broadway — and also in Hamburg, Tokyo, Madrid, and Brisbane. The national tour of the show is currently playing in Philadelphia, and NewsWorks theater blogger Howard Shapiro reports on the state of things in the show’s Pride Lands these days.

    As New Jersey wineries win more awards and kudos and find themselves less often the butt of jokes, some say they need new legislation to ensure they can stay in business.
