Justin Townes Earle brings his southern rock and honest songwriting straight from Nashville to the stage at WHYY’s Connections Festival at Penn’s Landing. Joined by a talented stand up bass player and versatile fiddle player, Earle has earned an Americana Music Award for “Emerging Artist of the Year in 2009”. Still in his 20’s, his styling are reminiscent of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash with a contemporary flair. Being the son of notable artist Steve Earle has also impacted his personal and musical career.
