Eric Fair on his memoir ‘Consequence’

Listen 00:48:44

Guest: Eric Fair

In 2004, we learned of the horrific torture that occurred at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. ERIC FAIR worked as an interrogator for the private security firm CACI at the prison during that time. In his new memoir Consequence, he describes the brutality and injustice that occurred and his guilt for not stopping it. The book also follows Fair home where he endured devastating regret, which manifested in nightmares, marriage troubles, and a drinking problem. He even contemplated suicide.
