    Listen 00:48:44

Guests: Erik Wemple, Michelle Amazeen , Robert Lougherty

On this week’s edition of Ballot Talks: we’ll discuss the now-constant stream of flat-out lies that presidential candidate Donald Trump has been doubling-down on while on the campaign trail and in his media appearances. The real estate mogul turned politician has constantly challenged news organizations and fact-checkers alike with his unverifiable statistics, misinformation, and historical inaccuracies. We’ll discuss the specifics of some of his most recent falsifications and what role the media should play in correcting and confronting the candidate. We’ll be joined by ERIK WEMPLE, media critic for the Washington Post, and MICHELLE AMAZEEN, assistant professor at Rider University who specializes in political advertising. Then, we’ll hear what some Pennsylvania counties are doing in response to the political impasse over the state’s 2016 budget. Chair of the Bucks County Board of Commissioners, ROBERT LOUGHERY joins us.
