    karrIn her new memoir, Lit, MARY KARR describes her early life as a writer, wife and mother – years in which she used drugs, drank and wound up getting divorced. This is the third of Karr’s memoirs. Her previous books include The Liar’s Club about her volatile relationship with her mother, and Cherry, which focused on her adolescence. She’s also published several volumes of poetry.
