Do you want to make movies? Are you a creative storyteller? Do you have dreams of going to Hollywood? Whether you’re a TikTok superstar or the next J.J. Abrams, take your skills to the next level during this three-week intensive filmmaking experience. You’ll join other imaginative high school students in learning how to script, shoot, act and edit movies using WHYY’s filmmaking equipment.

Are you a high school student who has dreamed about being a reporter? Can you see yourself working for NPR or CNN? During this two-week hands-on journalism program, you’ll develop real-world experience in 21st-century reporting, from finding stories on your own “beat” to interviewing leads to writing and producing original news stories.

Course fee: $900

Want to be the next big Hollywood director? In this in-person, after school program, middle school students will work in small groups to create their very own short films. Students will learn the fundamentals of narrative filmmaking- story structure, script writing, storyboarding, video editing, and camera operation. Students will also have the opportunity to learn the basic principles of animation to produce their own stop motion film.
