Young victim identified in fatal weekend crash at Italian Market

    Authorities have identified the 11-year-old girl who died Sunday when a driver caused a crash near the Italian Market.

    Samantha Nguyen-Ortanez of Sicklerville, N.J., was killed when Florida’s Max Drosi ran a red light at Washington Avenue and Eighth Street in South Philadelphia.

    Drosi is charged with DUI and homicide by vehicle. His car hit the one Nguyen-Ortanez was in and injured four other people.
