Woodbury couple prepares to celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

Bob and Betty Buchanan began dating in 1939. All these years later, they’re married and still living in Woodbury, N.J. Next week, they’ll celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.

Now 92 and 88, respectively, Bob and Betty talked with the Gloucester County Times about how they’ve stayed in love all this time, how Bob got the nickname “Buckets” and their approach to doing everything together.

As Betty puts it, “He helps me and I help him.”
