Woman charged for abandoning horse, SPCA considers adoption requests

Authorities have charged a Fairhill woman for abandoning a horse found roaming Sunday in Kensington.

The Inquirer reports the 23-year-old is charged with animal cruelty after horse was found wounded and malnourished a mile from her home. The PSPCA is caring for the animal and reviewing requests for adoption.

In an interview with Good Day this morning, George Bengal, director of the PSPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement, said four horses have been rescued from vacant lots in the last three weeks.
