Without a buyer, Atlantic City Hilton may face closure

Things aren’t looking good right now for the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort.

Since going up for sale months ago, no buyer has emerged and the business is in danger of closing.

Though still formally under the Hilton brand, Hilton has severed its ties with the casino and the casino had a $18.9 million operating loss last year.

This Press of Atlantic City article details the Hilton’s embattle history and its risk to buyers, who would not only be responsible for removing the Hilton branding, but for the resort’s financial obligations. It’s got the smallest gaming floor in the city and the second-smallest number of hotel rooms.
