Wilmington police to run with vet who was punched

Members of the Wilmington police department say they plan to run alongside a former Marine who was punched in the face during a cross-country run for veterans.

    J. Brendan O’Toole was assaulted during the run Wednesday. Police later made an arrest.

On Monday morning, Wilmington officers plan to join O’Toole as he re-starts his three-mile ceremonial run in the city.

The run begins and ends at the city’s public safety building.
