Wilmington 5 year old girl hit by bullet

A five year old Wilmington girl is in stable condition after being shot in the leg outside a home on Pleasant Street Wednesday night.

Wilmington Police are still trying to determine who fired the shots that hit the girl in the right leg while she was standing outside her home in the 1100-block of Pleasant St.  

Police were called to the scene around 8:10 Wednesday night.  The girl was taken by ambulance to A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children.  She was then transferred to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  She is currently listed in stable condition.
