Williow Grove Naval base commemorates 68 years of service

Veterans and enthusiasts gathered at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Willow Grove to honor 68 years of military service on Wednesday.

The ceremony featured remarks about the base’s history and a final flight.

Although the base is not scheduled to close until September 15th, Wednesday’s event celebrated the local community that supported the military men and women stationed at the NAS JRB since it was built in 1943.
