Wildwood’s tram car voice will welcome the Globetrotters

    “Watch the Globetrotters, please.”

    That ought to get a lot of heads turning on the Wildwood Boardwalk when the infamous tram cars replace the standard get the heck out of the way warning with a welcome message for the Harlem Globetrotters.


    The Globetrotters will play at the Wildwoods Convention Center Aug. 10, and Wildwood is calling on its iconic voice for help.

    Floss Stingel recorded “Watch the tram car please” 40 years ago. Today, as the Press of Atlantic City reports, she’ll record the welcome note to be played as the Globetrotters step off their bus an onto a tram.
