Wife of Chester mayor carjacked at gunpoint

One suspect has been charged in the gunpoint carjacking of the wife of  Chester Mayor John Linder Wednesday.

Police said Deana Linder was approached after she parked near her home. After demanding her vehicle, the carjackers drove off with the car. Linder wasn’t hurt and her car was recovered.

Officials in Chester said Jasper Gregory Moy, 24, is being held on $250,000 cash bail in connection with Wednesday night’s incident. Three others have been released but remain “persons of interest” in the case.

The mayor said the attackers didn’t target his wife, calling it simply the latest example of “random violence” plaguing the city.
