Why I Love Philly party brings out residents’ inner cheerleaders

Gimme a P! Gimme an H! Ok, enough of that.

Did you miss the Why I Love Philly party? We won’t hold it against you; we know you love this place. Sometimes in the way you love a kid brother who cuts your Barbie’s hair, but love is love, right?

If you went to the party or indulged in Young Involved Philadelphia and Indy Hall‘s #whyilovephilly Twitter campaign, then you can’t help but love the city, because, well, you’re surrounded by people who do.

 

Flying Kite was at the party and has video of some very involved, very excited Philadelphians sharing their reasons for embracing a city that’s clearly about more than cheesesteaks, pretzels and Milton Street’s social media mayoral campaign.

And though it might sometimes take a few beers to remember why you love this place, the party at Old City’s National Mechanics wasn’t the end of campaign. You can still ad #whyilovephilly anytime to your tweets.
