‘Wheel of Fortune’ auditioning players in Atlantic City

What better place to hold game show contestant auditions that in the gaming capital of New Jersey?

The “Wheelmobile,” the traveling promotional vehicle of “Wheel of Fortune,” will be in Atlantic City next weekend for auditions.

People 21 and older who want a chance to say, “I’d like to solve the puzzle,” can apply to have their names picked randomly for a simulated version of the game. Prizes will be awarded, but the whole thing is a trial for a chance to play the game on TV.

There will be three auditions each on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8 and 9, at the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel.
