West Norriton man sought in hit-and-run of Philadelphia Police officer

Police in Philadelphia and Montgomery County have named the man they’re looking for in connection with last night’s hit-and-run that left a Philadelphia officer injured.

Norristown Patch reports authorities have confirmed 27-year-old Christopher Stegall of West Norriton is wanted for the assault that left the officer with a broken ankle and other injuries when he was dragged across a city block during a traffic stop.
The incident took place as the city mourned officer Marc Brady’s death. Brady died early Monday morning as the result of an apparent domestic dispute while off duty.

Stegall’s pickup truck was recovered blocks away from the Tuesday night hit-and-run, which took place at Third Street and Olney Avenue.
