West Chester looks into privatizing service

A.J. Blonsenski, Inc. bid about $350,000 for West Chester’s trash service — the borough’s lowest bid as its council considers whether to privatize its service.

The bids are just the first step as the borough works to determine the right price for making the switch.

West Chester Patch reports the Blonsenski bid was not too much lower than what the borough currently pays for trash, and the other bids came in a little higher. Council is looking at privatization for the next budget.
