Welcome home: Starved Lower Chichester pit bull ‘Curious George’ lands new home

A pit bull who was grossly underweight found by motorists on October 31 finally has a new home.

According to the Daily Times, “Curious George” will make the move from the Delaware County SPCA to his new home on December 13.

The Daily Times says a couple in their 30’s, who was not identified by the SPCA, will take care of the pit bull.

“Curious George” generated interest when his story was picked up by several local media outlets. The SPCA tells the Daily Times it received 15 applications from families wanting to adopt the rescue dog. Because of the strong interest generaged by his story, the SPCA conducted a lengthier adoption process to make sure George was headed to the right family for the right reasons.
