Watch a 6-year-old angler reel in a 41 pound striped bass in Long Beach Island

    Anglers up and down the coast have been busy this week with the fall striped bass run heating up. 

    For days, Jersey Shore bait and tackle shops have posted numerous images and videos of anglers and their catches.

    By himself, six-year-old Sam Adams reeled-in a 41 pound, 46.75 inch striped bass (Adams is 47 inches tall).

    “The way he fought that fish was like he was a pro,” a Jingles Bait and Tackle blogger wrote on the business’ website. “This was not Sam’s first time fishing, as you can tell. People that have seen him fish will tell you how amazing this young man is, which you can see by how he listens to what he was told to do.”
