Washington police find Kyle Kendrick’s World Series ring

Police in Washington have recovered Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick’s World Series ring. It was in the most obvious of places: inside a Mentos container at the bottom of a swamp.

The ring went missing from Kendrick’s Mount Vernon home last month when he was burglarized.

Authorities found the ring yesterday, Action News reports, when “a man known to law enforcement” led them to the swamp near Kendrick’s home. Five people have already been arrested for the April 4 burglary, when the pitcher’s 2009 National League Championship ring and several signed jerseys were also taken.
