Vouchers issued during Del. gun buyback can be redeemed Saturday

Many Delaware residents who turned in their guns during a December buyback event hoping for a prepaid debit card were instead issued vouchers when the demand exceeded the supply.

Saturday, those who received vouchers can redeem them.
The state allocated $100,000 for the buyback event, but that money was gone in the first 90 minutes. According to the Associated Press, more than 2,000 guns were turned in.

Those who received vouchers can redeemed them at Canaan Baptist Church in New Castle from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. No additional guns will be collected.
