Victim advocacy group will hold evening candle lighting ceremony

In honor of crime victims and survivors, the Philadelphia Coalition for Victim Advocacy will hold its annual candle lighting ceremony tonight at First Unitarian Church.

The event kicks off National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, which begins Sunday and celebrates crime victims and survivors, victim service providers, criminal and juvenile justice professionals and community volunteers.

District Attorney Seth Williams will make opening remarks at the 6:30 p.m. event, which will be translated in Mandarin, Spanish and Vietnamese. Discounted parking and childcare are available.
