VFW 3460 in Media celebrates milestone anniversary

    A VFW post in Media is celebrating a milestone anniversary, marking 75 years of serving veterans and playing an integral part in the community.

    The VFW Post 3460 celebrated its 75th anniversary with its members, the ladies auxiliary and special guests.

    The Daily Times reports Larry Reece, the VFW Pennsylvania State Commander, was in attendance and discussed the challenges facing new veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

    According to the Daily Times, the post’s current location on Hilltop Avenue was purchased in 1956.
