Blue Angels to headline Millville, N.J., airshow

The United States Navy Blue Angels will headline the Wheels and Wings Airshow in Millville this 2017 Memorial Day weekend.

It will be the only performance in New Jersey this year for the flight demonstration squadron, which consists of six McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet combat jets.

The two-day event salutes America’s military forces and includes more than a dozen other aerobatic, wing walking, skydiving and parachute performances from Scott Francis, PaulDougherty Christen, Greg and Ashely Shelton, Jacquie “Jacquie B” Warda, Kevin Russo, Skydive Cross Keys, plus the U.S. Marine Corps and Coast Guard.

All aircraft will be on display when the gates open, offering guests the chance to get up close to mighty warbirds.

The wheels portion of the show features antique and vintage vehicles collected by several regional auto clubs and is hosted by the South Jersey Cruisers Association.

Tickets cost $20 at the gate ($15 if purchased before May 20) for visitors ages 12 and up. For kids under age 12, tickets cost $5. Children under age 3 enter free.

Parking is $5.
