Upper Darby woman settles Donald Duck groping suit

Update: The Journal Register News Service reports the case has been dismissed. A judge signed an order to dismiss the case, barring Magolon from filing the same claim. The man in the Donald Duck suit was criminally charged when Magolon made the allegations, but has since been acquitted.

Original report: Upper Darby resident April Magolon has settled her suit against Donald Duck. The suit was actually filed against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts for an encounter she claimed to have had with a Disney employee dressed as Donald Duck.

Magolon sued Disney last year, saying a staffer dressed as Donald Duck groped her breast while she and her child visited the Florida park in May 2008.

The Associated Press reports Magolon was seeking $50,000 in compensation plus punitive damages. The details of the settlement have not been disclosed.
