University of the Sciences gets first female president

    The 22nd president of the University of Sciences is a female.

    Helen F. Giles-Gee will leave her role as president Keene State College in New Hampshire for the Philadelphia gig on July 16, the Inquirer reports.

    Giles-Gee is an Alabama native whose previous roles include stints at Rowan University, SUNY Cortland, University System of Maryland and Towson State University. She has degrees from Penn and Rutgers.
