Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who they say assaulted and robbed an elderly woman at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

The 77-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed of her pocketbook shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 4 after getting off the elevator on the floor of her room, Atlantic City Police Department Sgt. Kevin Fair said in a release.

The Boonton, NJ woman was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City with a non-life threatening injury, Fair said.

Police describe the suspect as a white man with a slim build in his 30s.
