Two Pennsylvania brewers will keep their holiday ‘Elf’ beers

Just in time for the holidays, two Pennsylvania brewers have reached an agreement that lets them both keep their elfin beers.

Earlier this year, Harrisburg’s Troegs Brewing Co. and Bethlehem’s Fegley Brew Works were in a dispute over their respective beers: Mad Elf and Rude Elf’s Reserve. Troegs filed a petition to cancel Fegley’s trademark, arguing customers wouldn’t be able to differentiate between the two beers.

Now the Patriot-News reports the brewers have reached a deal. No other details are known except that both companies will retain their labels.
