Two foul balls for guy who foiled Werth’s 2010 catch

Pat Boyle looked downright sheepish in 2010 when he caught a ball out of the hands of Jayson Werth.

What would have been an out in the 12th inning of the game against the Reds became a sort-of foul ball in Boyle’s hands. But Boyle caught two legit fouls yesterday.

The Main Line Times reports the Havertown resident snagged two foul balls — one from the bat of Roy Halladay, the other from the bat of an Athletics player.

The ball went to his son, Pat Jr., who looked a bit nervous during the 2010 mixup.
