Two Camden County residents nominated by Christie for judgeships

    Gov. Chris Christie this week nominated two Camden County residents for judgeships.

    Philly.com reports Steven J. Polansky of Cherry Hill and Linda M. Kassekert of Pennsauken were both nominated Thursday. Kassekert is the head of the state Casino Control Commission and Polansky is a lawyer.

    Both nominations must be approved by the state Senate.

    According to Philly.com, Kassekert is the first woman to serve as chair of the commission. She was appointed by Gov. Jim McGreevey in 2002.

    Polansky is a lawyer at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, according to Philly.com, and has focused on insurance-coverage issues.
