An early morning truck fire on I-495 caused major headaches for drivers as firefighters battled for hours to put it out.
The fire forced State Police to shut the highway near the Route 13 interchange in the early morning hours. The roadway stayed closed throughout the morning rush hour, causing big delays around the city of Wilmington on both Rt. 13 and I-95.
It’s not clear what caused the fire, but State Police say the rig was not involved in an accident.
