Truck crashes into Bucks home; 93-year-old resident dies

A pickup truck has crashed through a Levittown home, ending up near the bed of a 93-year-old hospice patient who later died, police said.

Authorities in Bucks County said the truck inflicted heavy damage on the Bristol Township home when it struck the corner of it shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Resident Jenny Russo was lying in bed near the point of impact and died a few hours later, police said. The cause of her death was not immediately clear.

A damaged truck located Friday afternoon in Bristol matched parts from the crash, according to interim police Chief Ralph Johnson.

A man believed to have been the driver turned himself in at a nearby gas station and is being interviewed at police headquarters, Johnson said.
