Trenton Council takes another vote on mayoral pay cut

Trenton City Council will vote tonight to try to override Mayor Tony Mack’s veto of an ordinance to lower the mayoral salary. The Times of Trenton reports Mack’s salary stands to be cut by 52 percent to $60,000, but only if Council can muster the five supermajority votes it needs for an override.

Mack, naturally, vetoed the ordinance after it passed. He then went on to publish press releases to the city’s website calling out the council members who voted for the salary cut.

Mack was arrested by the FBI earlier this fall on attempted extortion charges.
