Trash-inspector impersonator assaults 83-year-old man during West Oak Lane lounge robbery

Police are looking for a man who robbed Brownie’s Par Four Lounge in West Oak Lane on Monday while impersonating a trash inspector.

At 1:20 p.m., an unknown male carrying a clipboard and handbag knocked on the front door of Brownie’s Lounge, 7137 Ogontz Ave. posing as a trash inspector.

After several minutes inside the business, the suspect suddenly punched the complainant, an 83-year-old male, in the face knocking him to the ground.

The suspect then pulled a knife and demanded money, a cellphone and a Masonic ring from the complainant. He then handcuffed the complainant to a railing inside the bar. The suspect then tried to gain access to the cash register but was unsuccessful.

The suspect then took the complainant outside to gain access to the second-floor stairs. The complainant began to yell and scream for help causing the suspect to flee on foot. He was last seen going south on Ogontz Avenue from the establishment.

The suspect is described as a 6’5″ black male between 35 and 45 years old. He has a light beard/stubble, a dark complextion and a thin build. He was last seen wearing thin-rimmed black glasses, a long black coat, a dark-colored Jeff hat, dark-colored pants and dark-colored shoes.
