Germantown Avenue Walking Tour May 17

On May 17 from 6:30 – 8 p.m., join Mt. Airy USA and historian Joe Minardi for an exciting walking tour along Germantown Ave. Minardi is a foremost expert of the neighborhood’s architecture. His book – “Historic Architecture in Northwest Philadelphia: 1690 to 1930s” – was published late last year.

Learn about the history of one of Philadelphia’s most classic areas and get a sneak peek inside four historic buildings that Mt. Airy USA is currently renovating along the Avenue. The tour will begin at Lovett Library, future home of Lovett Park, and conclude at Little Jimmie’s Bakery for complimentary dinner and refreshments on the patio. Register here. In the event of rain, the tour will be rescheduled for May 31.
