Top officials at NJ psychiatric hospital reassigned

Three top administrations at a New Jersey state-run psychiatric hospital have been reassigned as part of a shake-up after an inspection found several deficiencies.

Officials also tell the Courier-Post that Ancora Hospital’s Medicare certification is also under review.

The state Department of Human Services says the hospital in southern New Jersey will now be headed by Christopher Morrison, who has served as deputy CEO at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital.

The state says that a plan of correction has been required for the hospital, but it has not released details of what the federal inspectors found to be awry.
