Top 4 things to watch in NW Philly this week

Here’s a look at what’s going on in Northwest Philadelphia this week: 

1. Students at Thomas Mifflin Elementary School in East Falls will start a six week quilting project this week. Check back to learn more about the anti-violence-themed initiative.

2. The Philadelphia Register of Historic Places has added a Germantown property to the list. Check back next week to see which site made the cut and to learn about the effort behind securing the designation.

3. Local historians will hold a forum focused on Mt. Airy history Monday night at Lovett Memorial Library. Check in next week to learn what tales of yesteryear were shared at the evening event. 

4. The owners of Balance Chestnut Hill are hoping to move to Willow Grove Avenue. The building’s landlord will meet next week with the neighborhood’s Development Review Committee in advance of a hearing before the city’s Zoning Board of Adjustment in early April.
