Toll hikes

While you were sleeping last night, reporter Dave Davies was typing away to bring you the latest on toll hikes on the Delaware River Bridges. Get ready, folks, because the tolls will hit just in time for summer vacation.

Come July 1, tolls on the four bridges will likely increase from $4 to $5, despite attemps from Philadelphia electricians union leader John Dougherty to postpone the hike.

At the center of the hike is a dispute between Dougherty and Delaware River Port Authority John Estey, who can’t agree on how much money has been set aside and spent on development projects.
