TLA Video in Chestnut Hill to close

TLA Video in Chestnut Hill will close at the end of the month. A small sign posted on the front door of the 7630 Germantown Ave. locale thanks “our loyal customers over the past 23 years.”

In the meantime, the store will sell off its remaining inventory at reduced prices. Calls made to TLA ownership about the cause of the closing were not immediately returned.

The independent company still operates video stores in Center City and Bryn Mawr. TLA Video’s South Street location closed in October 2009.
