Three Gloucester County police departments receive Click it or Ticket grants
Drivers, be sure to buckle up; three Gloucester County police departments will be increasingly vigilant about seat belt laws thanks to federal grants from the Click It or Ticket campaign.
Glassboro, Monroe Township and Woodbury Heights police, along with 139 additional departments, will each be receiving a grant worth $4,000 courtesy of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to make sure people are using their seat belts.
The program includes “a combination of heavy enforcement, advertising and public awareness campaigns,” said a release from the Delaware River Port Authority, as was reported in the Gloucester County Times.
Enforcement efforts began yesterday and run through June 5.
