Walk the walk: Thousands take part in Philly, Bucks County Walk to Cure Diabetes

Nearly 10,000 people came together today for the Walk to Cure Diabetes at two locations in Pennsylvania.

The 2011 event was held at the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and at Bucks County Community College.

The large groups were part of a larger nationwide effort the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International says included more than 500,000 people at 200 different locations.

The walks go onto raise millions of dollars for diabetes research.
