There’s something about an Easter Egg Hunt that brings all ages out in lower Delaware

The Easter Egg hunt in Georgetown has been taking place for 13 years.  Each year it gets bigger and bigger.  The 2013 version got so big that organizers had to figure out how to fit in everyone who wanted to come.

There were 500 kids who showed up Saturday on the grounds of the Nutter Marvel Museum at the Georgetown Historical Society. They had to wait an hour for those in charge to figure out the logistics, but when it came time to hunt eggs, there were no disappointments.

Kids with all colors and shapes of baskets answered the call to go hunt for those simple treats from the Easter bunny.  They also got to show off bunny ears and take part in train rides, and a bunny hop sack race.

Maybe it was the combination of the hunt and the beautiful weather, but our NewsWorks contributor Chuck Snyder found some great photos to reflect the day.
